Handcrafted since 1998
Drawing from my years of experience both working on and playing vintage instruments I set out to design models which capture the look and feel of guitars from a by gone era in American manufacturing.
I craft each guitar using mostly hand tools and simple machinery combined with templates and jigs I've built to help streamline production and ensure consistency. I like to use sustainable woods and sometimes old growth stock when I can find it! I love the look and feel of lacquer finishes so that's my standard, mostly mixing my colors by eye I can get pretty close to those favored colors of the 50's and early 60's, flakes and bursts are also an option!
Over the past few years I've gotten pretty serious with winding my own pickups.
I currently offer a 50's flat pole tele bridge available individually or as a set with a 50's spec neck.
Soapbar P-90's and a very cool P-45 neck which pairs incredibly well with a tele bridge!
A split coil P bass is available is slightly under or over-wound, and most recently began playing with some gold foils!
All pickups are scatter wound and flash potted. Wax potting is standard, lacquer is available as an option.
In addition to my own line I also offer pickups by Fralin and a few other very fine makers...
Most of my instruments are built to order and that all starts with a conversation, so feel free to get in touch
